Teaching with Cheerios

The Cheerios Animal Play Book (Cheerios Play Book) is one of my most favorite books to teach my kids.  We got it years ago when my 13 year old was young.  Now our baby, 5 years old, uses it.

Can I just say I appreciate being a Mom?  It is a blessing that I truly do NOT deserve.

My Mocha eyed boy brought brought me the Cheerios book and a bowl of Cheerios to my bed the other day.    How could I refuse an impromptu Math lesson.  This is what homeschool teachers dream of!

We learned to subtract.
(He has no idea he was learning or having a Math lesson – I love that!

The kids place the cheerios on the book in the place provided.  It teaches them to count, not to mention hand eye coordination.
(I love things that do a double lesson!)

How to teach with cheerios!

To turn the page you HAVE to eat the cheerios – that is half the fun!
I’m always looking for fun activities to teach when my kids especially when they have no idea they are being taught.

Blessings to you! You are loved!

Below are some of our favorites!
